Steve set up DoCare with his wife Una in 2004, when they struggled to find any homecare provision for Una’s father.
Steve is a passionate advocate of the homecare sector, and is on the board of the sector’s professional body, the United Kingdom Homecare Association (UKHCA). He has a dedicated and highly experienced team around him, which frees him up to spend time with clients and staff to find out how DoCare is performing and get some great ideas on improving the service.
When he’s not out and about Steve’s back in the office, and ensures DoCare does its bit for the environment by taking home all the shredded paper to use as bedding for his hens.
Steve is a keen walker, loves reading and watching rugby and Formula 1, but is increasingly baffled by his teenage children’s ability to pick up new technology at the drop of a hat.
Steve has been described as “inspiring”, although for a second he feared he had misheard “perspiring”!
