Michelle’s career in caring has so far spanned 13 years, with the last five at DoCare. She has NVQ level 3 in care and QCF level 5 in leadership and management.

“Years ago I used to work for BA on the flight check-in, then we moved back to the South West and after I had children I was looking around for a new challenge. A friend of mine suggested caring.”

Michelle has never looked back. She loves the combination of her managerial role with being able to go out to see clients, and also enjoys liaising with other care professionals – such as district nurses, doctors and therapists – to ensure the best level of care is put in place for each person.

Out of work, Michelle subscribes to her a local gym to keep fit – and is determined that sooner or later she will make sure she goes regularly!
