Meet the DoCare team
Steve Mills
Managing Director
Steve is a passionate advocate of the homecare sector, and is on the board of the sector’s professional body, the United Kingdom Homecare Association (UKHCA). He has a dedicated and highly experienced team around him, which frees him up to spend time with clients and staff to find out how DoCare is performing and get some great ideas on improving the service.
Una Mills
Co-Director
Working in the caring profession is second nature to Una, whose parents were live-in wardens at a residential accommodation complex for elderly people. Which meant, as Una says, she was brought up with “an extra 24 grannies and granddads”!
Sue Mothershaw
Communications Manager
Sue’s extensive marketing and communications career was mainly in software, but after relocating to the South West and switching to homecare she found a sector she was passionate about.
Laila Valentine
Financial Controller
All things financial come under Laila’s watchful gaze. She’s been with DoCare for more than five years, organising payroll, client payments and accounts, and is firmly in charge of the petty cash tin.
Stacey Nash
Area Manager for Yate & Kingswood
Stacey went straight into a career in caring after leaving school, inspired by her mother and grandmother.
Kerry-Ann Lees
Area Manager for Cirencester & Cheltenham
Kerry-Ann has been with DoCare for five years, and has worked in the care sector for more than 15 years. She’s qualified to NVQ level 3 in care, and is currently working towards QCF level 5 in leadership and management. Kerry-Ann is also DoCare’s primary dementia carer.
Michelle Abbott
Area Manager for Stroud, Dursley & Gloucester
Michelle’s career in caring has so far spanned 13 years, with the last five at DoCare. She has NVQ level 3 in care and QCF level 5 in leadership and management.
Leanne Green
Office Administrator
Leanne is DoCare’s Girl Friday, and can turn her hand to anything from getting training ready, to organising client paperwork, to answering the phone.
Brock Applegate
AAT Apprentice
Brock is one of the latest recruits to the DoCare team, as an Association of Accounts Technicians apprentice.
